The hut is up on high ground in beautiful countryside and has a lovely lot of field around it so one is totally private. The shepherd's hut itself is in excellent condition and everything in it is of very good quality including cooking implements and facilities and all the linen - bedding, towels etc.
The Booking.com member of staff was also charming and very helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and read a lot in perfect peace in the sunshine.
Walking locally is limited to gated fields and the entrance to the farm is on a main road so one really needs to use the car to access walks apart from the local huge pub. It is four miles away from the sea - so the 'sea views' are from a distance! - and parking near the sea is fine in Sidmouth but parking for access to the West Coast Path is hard to find.
The local pub is in easy walking distance, is huge and serves a generous but basic menu.

Location Amazing!!! Everything about the cabin good quality and finished beautifully, we had a great time in this hidden little Gem!
Bad points- kitchen could of been cleaner for arrival, lots of dust in bowls, plates, cups not clean..
The wooden chairs on decking need updating/repairing..
The cupboards need some shelving.

Location is perfect, easy access, beautiful drive down to the property. The view is incredible.
Nothing was one of my favourite places to stay.
