In all my years of travelling I have never had such an experience with a property, it was absolutely disgraceful

The bath was clean, but that’s probably because they used all the soap to clean it and didn’t leave us any

It’s right above a busy pub, playing live music and very loud. The entrance hall was filthy, wood chippings and sawdust everywhere, the stair carpet not only needs a clean but a hoovering too, paper and wood all the way up. The tv in the lounge has a damaged picture and the remote control didn’t work. No bins in any of the rooms, just a bin liner left in the kitchen. The sink in the bathroom had a tap that was not secure, and the water just trickled out. The first bedroom only had one blind, the other window was just bare so we decided to sleep in the family room. This had a fire extinguisher propping the door open as there was a Yale lock on the door and there was no key. The fire extinguisher has not been tested, there was no record of it being serviced, and the safety pin was not connected meaning it could be set off just by picking it up. We were woken at 0400hrs by the occupier of the other flat and what sounded like his pet elephant!! The noise kept us awake for over an hour.

Couldn't get into the property

Nothing

There tv was broken tv remote didn't work. We checked in, had a look inside the property, and decided to get take away. Once we came back from shopping the doors wouldn't open anymore, the code that they gave us didn't worked.. We tried numerous times calling the number given, no one answered. We stood for 2 hours outside trying to reach the owner for help. Unfortunately we ended up booking another place to stay.. Luckily we haven't brought our stuff inside... AVOID ALL COSTS

Absolute Shambles

Location

Double charged (1 payment taken/sent back and 1 payment taken, 1 hour before check in) after pre booking 3 months in advance and contacting property and booking.com for confirmation - which was never received. Property sent wrong details for apartment. Apartment was supposed to come with Wifi - Wi-Fi broken. This whole situation was a nightmare from start to finish. I complained and nothing was done. Apartment wouldn’t reply to booking.com customer service. I couldn’t get a refund. I’ve been trying for over a month, after 30+ emails I just decided to cancel future bookings with Booking.com and never use the service again. Even though I have been loyal to this booking site for a number of years.

Hell hole

It was very close to a gig we were attending and in the same building as a lovely pub with the nicest people who helped us so much with getting into the flat

Took 3 hours to get into flat, zero help from management team, disgusting behaviour, wrong code given for internal door as been changed but they didnt know ! Very stressful, avoid at all costs if you want to keep your sanity ! Also no towels and water went off ! Hadnt been cleaned or hoovered, kids sweets on floor.Should be removed from Booking.com NOW
