[Review] Not Recommended - Serious Hygiene and Safety Problems
I stayed 20 nights (about 3 weeks), and looking back, I still can’t recommend this place — especially not for families with children.
1. Terrible Hygiene
I found a cockroach crawling in the corner of the bathroom wall, and dead insects on the living room floor multiple times. Cobwebs were left untouched around a light fixture wiring connection, and even the artificial flowers indoors had flies on them. There wasn’t a single day in three weeks free of insect problems.
2. Bathroom in Terrible Condition
The toilet seat itself was crooked, making it unstable every time I sat down. The drain was clogged with hair that appeared to be from previous guests — I had to clean it myself before I could even use it. The bathroom door frame was covered in black mold from moisture damage, and the wood had rotted and decayed. Neither the hygiene nor the facilities could be trusted.
3. Outdated Facilities and Safety Issues
The wiring at a ceiling light connection had exposed, stripped insulation left uncovered — a real risk of electric shock or other accidents. The air conditioner and other facilities were also worn and poorly maintained.
4. Very Unsafe for Families with Children
The unit is semi-basement (banjiha) with direct outside access to the front door. Throughout the stay, strangers repeatedly knocked on the door. At one point, someone knocked and kept talking around midnight, which was disturbing enough that I ended up calling the police (screenshot of the 112 report confirmation text attached). Having this happen repeatedly with a child in the house was extremely unsettling.
5. Poor Management Despite a Long Stay
Even though I stayed for nearly 3 weeks, proper cleaning was only provided twice. When I asked for additional cleaning, they tried to push a paid cleaning service instead. Outside of those two visits, I had to wash towels myself — basic guest management was essentially absent.
