First of all, the staff deserve a special mention. Our arrival was quite an adventure because there was a storm and our flight had to circle for almost an hour before it was safe to land. Despite the delay, the gentleman waiting for us at the airport was incredibly patient and kind. He was still there holding our welcome sign when we finally arrived. Thank you so much! Unfortunately, there was an island-wide power problem when we arrived, which was completely outside the villa owner’s control. Imagine arriving after a storm and a delayed flight to a beautiful two-storey villa with a private pool... except everything is pitch black. 😂 Our driver was wonderful and even helped us light candles while we waited for a Grab because we were a little scared sitting there in complete darkness. The staff throughout our stay, from the driver to the receptionist and cleaning staff, were all lovely and helpful. Once the electricity situation was resolved, we really got to enjoy the villa and it was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and I slept so well on the following nights. The private pool was clean, the villa was spacious, and there were plenty of amenities. There is a TV, fridge, cooking facilities if you want to prepare your own food, and basically everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And then there are the DOGS. ❤️ Future guests, please give these sweet babies some treats! There are friendly local dogs around the area who are incredibly tame, gentle, and well behaved. One of them would even sit when asked. They made the more remote location feel strangely safe, like we had our own little group of furry guards watching over us. Despite the chaotic first night, we ended up having a very comfortable stay and genuinely enjoyed the villa.

The biggest issue during our first night was the electricity, but I want to emphasize that this was NOT the villa’s fault. There was a wider electricity problem affecting Phu Quoc at the time. We eventually had to book a hotel with a generator for that night because we couldn’t stay in the villa without power. We were later informed that the electricity had come back, but by then we had already paid for the other hotel. Because power disruptions can happen on the island, I think having a backup generator would be a fantastic addition to the villa and would give guests much more peace of mind. The villa is also quite remote and can be difficult for drivers to locate. Grab drivers sometimes cancelled after reaching the area around Capricorn Villa because they couldn’t find the property. My biggest suggestion would be to add a large, clearly visible sign for the villa near the road, along with clearer arrival instructions or a landmark that guests can send directly to drivers. Despite these issues, the villa is absolutely worth staying at.

The place was nice, clean, peaceful, and relaxing as you have a private mini pool.

The pool area felt a little dark in the evenings and the A/C takes awhile to cool down the place. There weren't any nearby stores so you'll need to have a motorcycle or take a grab to buy anything.

We had a wonderful 12-night stay at Lisa House Phu Quoc and highly recommend it. The apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped for a long stay. The location is excellent—peaceful, yet close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. A special thanks to Lisa, who was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help whenever needed. Her hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We were especially grateful that the host kindly allowed us to use a motorbike free of charge during our stay, which made it much easier to explore the island and was a very generous gesture. Lisa House offers excellent value for money, and we truly felt at home throughout our stay. We would definitely choose Lisa House again on our next visit to Phu Quoc and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with outstanding hospitality.
