Ms Xiao Yang pick us up at the bus stop. Together with another guy staff, they were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Place is clean, quiet and convenient. Bed/Mattress is clean and comfortable. Love the hot shower and heating in the room. Enjoyed my stay a lot.

The location is great. The place itself looks very beautiful, you can really feel the atmosphere!

There are several important things to note: 1) The guesthouse is located in the ancient town, so it is extremely inconvenient to drag the luggage there!! We suffered with that a lot! 2) It is a smoking guesthouse, the hosts smoke there constantly, so it all smells like smoke even inside the room. 3) The hosts are quite noisy, we couldn’t sleep because of that till after midnight. 4) The staff couldn’t give us any tips on how to get to the locations around Lijiang. 5) When we arrived, the staff was disrespectful towards us and we as two female travellers felt really uncomfortable there.

The staff wasn't very nice, neither respectful toward us... They will get drunk every night and consequently shout all night... We were required to print our passport ourselves...

The property is located inside the ancient town parameters, pretty artistic location. You basically go back a 50 years, so be prepared to have some surprises like narrow lanes around the property where people have casual talk walking by and you would hear them as if they are right next to you in the same room and same applies with other guests in neighbouring properties as well and everything is made of wood, smell of the same, padlocks, all a bit spooky but hey, that’s the thrill of it in the ancient city. Not to mention the place is very safe. The gentleman on duty is quite helpful and the lady on WeChat who seems to be a manager is responsive and persistent.

Room service to change the beddings, toiletries etc to be requested each day if you’re staying more than a day.

The staff is very nice, Merry speaks English and she was ready to help any time! There are two cute dogs and a nice garden. And heating! The water is hot, you just need to be patient to get it. Generally it's a good place to stay for lower cost.

The rooms could be cleaner, shampoo and shower gel could be refilled.

situated in the old town, only a few mins walk from the main road and round the corner from one of the entrances to the main part of the ancient town. Room very good for the price, electric blanket provided, shower powerful and hot, simple breakfast provided. From booking, always communicated with me, also got one of the staff to pick me up from the main road as well as drop me off

Locking the door from outside was easy, trying to use the padlock on the inside was quite difficult
