PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION = The Santee Wateree Regional Transportation Authority (SWRTA) is the public transportation provider in Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties; providing fixed route bus and ADA services in the City of Sumter with shuttle services to Cherryvale and Shaw Air Force Base communities. SWRTA provides SmartRide services to Columbia from Camden and Sumter. SWRTA provides demand response (paratransity service), which operates in the urban and rural areas of the county. Paratransit service offers county residents accessible transportation options to ride any of these county routes based upon space availability as cash clients.

Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR ORANGEBURG COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that we WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.

Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb`s insurance or other options are recommended.

INSECTS

As Santee is situated in a warm, coastal climate, it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control, but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.
