Large rooms with contemporary soft furnishings draped in natural light are found throughout, creating a homely ambience guests look forward to returning to after a long day exploring the area. The ground floor comprises a kitchen/diner, perfect for foodies who love experimenting with local produce, and a family bathroom. The comfortable lounge on the first floor is always a popular gathering point, with the king-size bedroom offering ample storage space off to the side. The second floor is dominated by a double bedroom with ample storage space. Accessed via the lounge, the large enclosed garden, almost unheard of in Whitby, is the perfect size for dog-friendly children’s games and alfresco meals. This cottage is an absolute gem for anyone with dogs - central yet with an enclosed garden this is a real rarity in Whitby.


Whitby is home to a range of cultural, historical and maritime attractions spanning hundreds of years all within a short distance of each other. The famous abbey ruins stand 500 metres away, and the view from there across the River Esk towards the quayside, harbour and vast beach is a sight to behold. Sandsend (3 miles) is best reached by a bracing walk along the beach, a wander around Robin Hood’s Bay (7 miles) is a must, while the natural landscapes of the North York Moors National Park (2.5 miles) are captivating beyond words.
