Family Hostel Lovina

I liked the set up which would be good for socializing: a yard with hammocks and a table with benches and bean bags on a smaller road behind the town. The bathrooms were in good shape and clean and equipped with soap. The hostel is very good on the budget. There is a water refill.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting more life, community and hospitality, but maybe that's more during the high travel season. It gets cold in the hammocks, cause the blanket is small and there is little insolation underneath. The hammock needs to be strapped a bit tighter. The kitchen seen in the photos is not for guest use. It's worth renting a scooter to be able to reach the beach within 8 min (instead of 30).

Unfortunately, the private room wasn’t very comfortable. There are no proper blackout curtains, so the room doesn’t get dark enough for sleeping. The Wi-Fi signal is very weak inside the room, there’s no sink, the water heater wasn’t working, and there was constant noise because the room is located right next to the shower area. Overall, it made it difficult to properly rest.

A cozy little place in a peaceful corner of lovina tucked in the forest and farm lands. When you walk through the village, everyone greets you. Lucky is a fun host who seems to get along with all travelers. The beds are comfy, the place, even if basic is very clean and great value for its price. You truly feel the backpacker vibe here. It was rather quiet due to low season when I was there but I can tell it's a place to make friends and have fun. They can also help you book a whole list of activities for good prices.

I stayed here 2+ weeks. I had a great time, met amazing people, played lotta pool and cards, had a plankton tour with the hostel. The value for money is great. And the vibe is fantastic :)
