The Carnon Downs Caravan and Motorhome site is the ideal base to explore the beauty of Cornwall. Just 3 miles from the city of Truro and set in 20 acres of landscaped grounds. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed on the site.. 5 steps to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:

Living area: Smart TV, Electric Woodburner
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Breakfast Bar, Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 3: Bunk (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, gas, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Rachel’s Lodge is one of three lodges on this site situated close to the reception area with parking next to the lodge. The park has 20 acres of landscaped gardens to explore, a children’s play area, laundry facilities and a café/wine bar at reception. You can walk from the site to the River Fal and the creek and the hamlets of Penpol and Devoran. Bring your bikes and follow the Bissoe Trail or do the Camel Trail (Padstow-Wadebridge) you can also hire equipment from here. Why not spend a day shopping in the beautiful city of Truro, meander along the cobbled streets looking at the variety of shops, plenty of places for refreshment and a place to stop. If you want a unique experience visit the Eden project at St Austell 22 miles away. The clay pits have been reclaimed to house enormous biomes a truly education experience for the whole family. If you appreciate beauty you will be spoilt for choice with the the gardens at Trebah, Glendurgan and Heligan. There are an abundance of coves and beaches to explore with water sports facilities at Praa Sands, Loe Beach in Truro equipment and tuition available. If you are an adrenalin junky visit the Adrenalin Quarry with a wide selection of activities to choose. If you prefer a quieter pace of life travel to the picturesque Falmouth 8 miles away, pop into the Maritime Museum and enjoy the wide selection of food available in the restaurants. Helston home to the largest Land Airbase is 16 miles away a market town home of the Furry Dance full of character.

We have stayed at Rachel's Lodge a few times, and it has always been excellent. Very clean, all the equipment you need the staff are very friendly and a great exercise field for the dog.

The only thing that spoilt it was the traffic as you are next to a busy road. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Rachel’s lodge is a modern and comfortable lodge with everything you need for a holiday. It’s quite central to st Ives, Newquay, and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again if visiting that area.
