The Space:
Don't worry about commutes to the beach at this getaway because you will already be on the beach! Simply step off of the back deck and you will get your fill of sandy toes and crashing waves in no time or soak in bliss in the brand new 35 x 15 pool or six-person hot tub. Sweeping gulf views with 2000 square feet of fully furnished deck space with high end polywood furniture including a outdoor dinning table & chairs for 10, rocking chairs & loungers for lying in the sun. Not to mention the new 4 burner grill for preparing meals in the evening. Before heading inside take advantage of the outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand of the day. The beach fun won't stop when you head inside, as a comprehensive interior renovation was completed in May 2026. The interior is filled with coastal decor, natural light, and panoramic views of the water from nearly every room. Entertaining the whole gang will be easy with the open layout of the kitchen, breakfast nook, dining area, and living room, as everyone can choose their own favorite place to kick back and visit with loved ones. The culinary inclined guests will love hopping into the Chef's fully stocked kitchen with all of the utensils and appliances of home including two fridges, a full size upright freezer, a beer cooler, a coffee maker and an electric stovetop. The kids will love giggling at the breakfast bar. Plus, there will be no need to worry about sandy suits, as the private washer and dryer will allow everyone to pack light!
After watching the last light of day disappear each night, everyone can retire to their own space with five spacious bedrooms awaiting to assist in a good night's rest. The adults in the group will love claiming one of the three bedrooms with king beds, as each has an attached full bathroom. The other two bedrooms will be great for the kids, as one offers two queen beds and a twin, and the other will make for the best sleepovers with three sets of twin-over-twin bunks! As an addition each bedroom boast its own smart tv.

You will obviously have no lack of beach fun right at your fingertips, so pack a picnic to bring down to the sand and spend all day soaking up the sunshine as the kiddos build sandcastles nearby. When you want to explore the area a bit, head three miles east to the heart of town and check out the local restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. The far side of the island is home to The Estuarium at Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Fort Gaines, and fairy rides that will bring you over to the Fort Morgan State Historic Site in no time!

This was a great house! The beach was the perfect distance for the kiddos to play on the beach and parents to watch from the deck.

Overall, this house was very nice and spacious. It has a beautiful beach/ocean view. Very family friendly. The house was overall fairly clean, aside from some mold around the vents in each of the bathrooms. The hot tub didn't work when we got there (which we were unaware of), but they did get it fixed while we were there. The amenities listed spices, but all that was there was salt and pepper and those were difficult to find. The wi-fi was very spotty and often didn't work. While we didn't use the tvs often, we did use them for some downtime in the evenings for the kids.

Our first Family Beach Trip was a great success thanks to the ease and accessibility of the Doctor’s Orders. It is perfect for families, especially with young children. Of the 29 VRBOs we’ve stayed in around the globe; this one, by far, was the most well appointed. The home was very roomy and comfortably fit 10 adults and 4 children. The kitchen is fully stocked and found ourselves needing nothing in order to cook for our large family. The additional fridge and standing freezer was a nice addition as well. By far the most comfortable patio furniture I’ve seen while staying at any beach house. Just know, the only thing you’ll need when you stay here is toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. There were some concerns though: mainly there was a musty smell from the kitchen cabinets of high moisture along with black mold around the A/C vents in two, maybe 3 of the bedrooms which may have caused a few of our guests with some respiratory problems during our stay. The hot tub filter cover was broken and held on by tape which had to keep being reset. The step towards the bottom of the staircase wasn’t secured which made my MIL fall, luckily nothing which caused injury. One of the doors to the laundry rooms handle was broken and a few minor other things that should have just already been fixed. Over all, it’s a very nice place but maybe the upkeep side of the house has been neglected too long. In my opinion.
