Take a moment to make yourself at home in front of the glowing wood burner before heading to the stylish open-plan kitchen/diner. Grab your binoculars and have a wonderful day at RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve (4 miles). Keep your eyes peeled for avocet, marsh harriers, otters and water voles. Or hop on a boat and sail over to the picturesque town of Southwold (11 miles), which is known for its colourful beach huts and iconic pier.
