A trip to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest (8 miles) boasts stunning trails through one of the UK’s most impressive tree collections. After a day of exploring, you’ll find plenty of cosy pubs and great dining spots nearby, or choose to walk around the owner’s vineyard nearby.

With lofty vaulted ceilings, plush sofas, and a Smart TV, this open-plan lounge is made for relaxing, while a handy desk area means you can squeeze in some work (if you really must). The sleek, fully equipped kitchen comes with a central island and bar stools for casual breakfasts, alongside a dining table that comfortably seats eight for family feasts and celebratory meals. Tucked next to the kitchen, a useful utility space with a washer and dryer helps keep holiday gear fresh. Just off the lounge, you’ll also find a convenient cloakroom. On the ground floor, there’s a luxurious king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. A connecting door leads to the second side of the barn, offering even more space for your group to spread out. Here, you’ll find another fully equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, a super king-size bedroom, and a stylish shower room – ideal for extra privacy or multi-generational stays. Head back through the connecting door and up the stairs to discover two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. The Family bedroom boasts a bath and shower, and the super king, a sleek shower room.
