Brixham’s bustling harbour captures the essence of a traditional fishing town, with colourful boats bobbing in the water and seafood restaurants serving the freshest catch of the day. You can even hop aboard one of the local tour boats to discover the sparkling waters of Torbay – keep your eyes peeled for the dolphins and seals! Take a leisurely stroll along the half-mile-long Brixham Breakwater, where panoramic views stretch back across the harbour and over the bay – at its foot lies the town’s main beach, home to a coffee shop and bistro. Visiting the picturesque harbour town of Dartmouth (5 miles) is a must. Here, cobbled streets are lined with independent shops, welcoming pubs, and tempting cafes, all watched over by the imposing naval college.

Inside, the hallway leads into a spacious living room, a haven for unwinding with a large corner sofa for movie nights and a Smart TV with Sky and Netflix. Next door, the well-appointed kitchen provides everything you need to create family favourites or indulgent seafood feasts. Follow the hallway to the elegant dining room, where a handmade oak table and benches seat eight. Throw open the French doors and let the fresh sea air flow in as you dine, or step outside for after-dinner drinks on the terrace. Upstairs, the first floor hosts two beautiful bedrooms: a king-size room and a plush double. A chic family bathroom with a free-standing bath and walk-in rainfall shower completes the first floor. Up on the second floor await two further bedrooms: another double bedroom and a flexible twin room that converts to a super-king-size on request. Serving the top-floor bedrooms and completing the interior is a modern family shower room.

Outside, the enclosed two-tiered terrace is made for al fresco living. The lower level hosts a rattan seating area for four and a BBQ for laid-back lunches. The upper terrace boasts a dining table for ten, with a parasol and fire pit for magical evenings under the stars, which is accessed from the ground floor. There are steep steps leading to this level, therefore, we advise that children are carefully supervised. Parking is on-street and subject to availability, while the closest public car park is just half a mile away.
