A tour of the historic 12th-century castle, less than 500 metres away, is a must. Bring your hiking boots and enjoy the gorgeous views on a walk at the nearby Framlingham Mere Nature Reserve (0.5 miles).

Those who love a woodland walk should visit Captain’s Wood (15 miles), and for wildlife or bird spotting, head to Snape Warren wetlands (11.5 miles). An attraction that has something for all the family is Orford Quay (14 miles), where you can try your hand at crabbing from the quay or take a leisurely river cruise.
