We had a lovely stay in the cottage, just a short walk from the village centre of Widecombe. Whilst being cosy in terms of size it's been very well laid out to make full use of the space, the annexe has everything you'd need for a short stay, well equipped kitchen, washing machine etc. Hosts Philly and Michael were very welcoming to my partner and I as well as our dog (towels for paws provided etc), they provided a couple of lovely little welcome gifts and we had a good chat about the area and took their recommendations on the local walks. Would definitely recommend this place! If you're looking to stay in a central place in Dartmoor you couldn't do better than this :)

The stunning view was there indeed. Overlooking the meadow into the valley of Widecombe was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Just looking outside the kitchendoor and watch the swallows, the buzzard and many other birds producing the only sound that one could hear. Stunning!

The adres was a bit hard to find as the postal code was not sufficient. And the cars GPS planner had a bit of a problem with it. So we asked in the Inn, which was actually a good thing: everyone knew the place and they pointed us in the right direction.

The cottage was in a fabulous location within walking distance of the centre of the village. Views from the cottage were absolutely stunning. The cottage was well appointed and the hosts just lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We particularly appreciated the little touches - milk, bread, butter, eggs milk and jam. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The most beautiful Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Philly and Michael were the greatest hosts - very helpful and hospitable. The communication prior and during the stay was superb, with explanation of how to get to the annex & a very helpful handbook with hand drawn maps & all the information you would need for the stay. The place had everything you would need and lots of space for the two, with all the charm of an English cottage dream. In addition, it was very nice to have eggs, jam and butter, lemonade and some bread once we arrived. The views are the most stunning, having breakfasts and dinners outside felt magical. Thank you for such a lovely stay, can’t wait to return some day!
