Auberge Eldo Inn

Not knowing how much construction delays I may encounter and rest stops needed along the way due to my mobility issues they were allowing me a late check-in if needed. The staff was courteous and showed me my room. Was pleased to see that not only did they have a coffee maker but also a kettle for boiling water. I found the room clean and comfortable.

Great location on the East edge of town and right on the Trans Canada Trail. Big comfortable room and bikes are allowed inside. Awesome for cross country travellers

We’d read some unhappy reviews about the rooms not having this, that, or the other. (What did they expect in a 2* hotel?) So we were pleased to find a brand new fridge, microwave, coffee maker, bed-side lamp, and even extra outlets with both USB-A and USB-C charging ports beside the bed. Even the carpet in the room was spotless, which I believe is really hard to maintain. There was even a drain plug for the bathtub! In short: nice place, and the management clearly reads reviews, and acts on them.

It’s a little bit too far to walk to most of the restaurants in town; Not a problem, we came by car anyway.

There was no breakfast Room was good,

there was no drinking glass, no coffee machine and the bathroom needs finishing the upgrades as there were no safety bars in the bathtub, no towel rack and the bath tub needs safety strips on the bottom as I almost slipped in the tub.
