This beautiful, newly remodeled 2-bedroom home is the ultimate Northwoods retreat for small families and groups seeking spectacular sunset views and effortless lake access. It offers the perfect balance: a peaceful, rural escape that still boasts easy access to the City of Chetek, Cameron, Rice Lake, and New Auburn with highly-rated restaurants and local taverns, weekly water ski show, golf courses, airport, shopping, and parks and beaches just a quick trip away by car or boat!
LIVING, DINING & MODERN COMFORTS:
Inside, enjoy one-level living with plentiful windows that bring the stunning lake views indoors. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare a family feast, flowing seamlessly into a dedicated dining area. After a long day on the water or the snowmobile trails, sink into the comfy couch to watch a movie, perfectly situated in front of the warm, inviting gas fireplace. Just around the corner, you'll find a spacious concrete patio facing the lake furnished with classic Adirondack chairs, providing even more room to gather, relax, and fire up the provided pellet smoker/grill for a family BBQ.
Down by the water, gather around the lakeside fire pit to roast marshmallows under the stars. Our large boathouse rooftop deck is another unique, exclusive amenity—the absolute perfect spot for sunrise coffee and sunset cocktails!

What a great find! Quiet and serene place to escape to for a few days. Clean, had everything we needed for the cooking we did. Caught fish off the dock. Watch turtle lay their eggs, saw 3 different families of Canadian Geese. A doe with young twin fawns always s passing through the back yard. Birds and bull frogs serenading us all day long. Comfy bed for sleeping. Did not use the bunk room other than for stashing our suitcases for the few days we were there. Fishing was slow when we took our boat out, but what you don’t catch, you don’t have to clean.Great get away for our 30th Anniversary.

When you first arrive and explore the property, you can tell that it is a well designed cabin and tastefully decorated. The design choices made by the hosts make the best use of the space and the amenities reminded me of a line my friend always uses- “It’s all about the details!”. They certainly make an effort to provide those items you didn't know you needed until you get there.You can find all the basics you will need in the kitchen. There is plenty of outdoor furniture (adult and kid size) that can easily be moved if you want to sit by the firepit or move closer to the shore. There is lots of flat ground perfect for yard games. The weather didn't allow us to utilize many of the outdoor amenities, but I can see where young families would really enjoy the yard and boathouse for various activities. Little traffic on the local roads makes for nice walks with your pup. Fishing was good. Husband caught walleye, bass and sunfish. A public landing is only about 2 1/2 miles away. There are lots of bait stores in Chetek and the staff at each are very friendly and more than happy to give you directions and the 411 on the fishing.Even though the weather was iffy and our stay was only 3 nights, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. As a retired couple with their dog, we reveled in the quiet atmoshere of our stay. But if you were to send me back in time 25 years we would have happily taken our three kids and dog here to spend a few days.

Communication with host was fast/easy/quick responses.Took family up for fishing/relaxation get away; we’ve stayed at many homes all over the country and the owners knocked this place out of the park, extremely clean, anything we needed (or didn’t think we’d need) was there; truly a vibe they travel/have stayed places and knew EXACTLY how to set this property up!!Top shelf lodging; blessed we were able to get in here and make core memories this weekend!

We had a wonderful stay. Cabin is stocked with dishes, pots & pans, toaster, coffee and coffee maker, grill, firewood, linens, pillows, blankets and towels…. Just about anything needed for rustic comfort. Check-in, check-out, and communication w/owners went very smoothly. I hope to return again and would recommend to others.
