I stress that the property was exceptional value and very spacious. We are two older friends who particularly wanted separate bedrooms with separate bathrooms with some kitchen facility. The location was central and we were prepared for noise. In event we did not prepare much food but it was very well equipped and clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The communication from Shey was excellent.

The showers were very slippery. There were no crab rails or shelves in the shower. This is not just an issue for the elderly. There were no towel rails. Despite previous feedback mentioning this issue there was nowhere to hang things. The wardrobe was full of bedding for the sofa beds, some of which I removed, in order to use the three hangers. No wardrobe or pegs at all in the second bedroom. No second bedside table or light. The apartment is huge and these considerations are inexpensive to rectify. One of the warehouse windows does not fully close and the blackout curtains do not reach the floor. The windows are filthy but I imagine at three stories up this is difficult to rectify. It is indeed very noisy especially if there is a live band next door but be also prepared for some morning activity from refuge and cleaning contractors..

The apartment is well appointed and loads of space! Two great size bedrooms and two sofas in the living space. The communication with the host was top notch and we had all the info we needed. The central location in Concert Square means you’re in the heart of the city and everything is in within easy reach. Just a few steps away from Bold Street and 5 mins to the Philharmonic and 10 mins from Uni of. Everything was spotlessly clean as we arrived. There were fans available to keep us cooler in the warm weather and chilled water in the fridge was a nice touch. It was convenient to be able to self check in.

It’s right in the centre of Liverpool’s nightlife hotspots and the hosts are open about the fact that there is associated noise in the listing. They leave earplugs for you, which we did need to use as the bars were in full swing but we were able to get a good night’s rest by using the earplugs. I needed to provide a credit card for the deposit outside of booking.com which I was a little hesitant about and checked with customer service. I needn’t have worried as the pending charge was removed once the apartment had been checked that there were no issues. Totally understand the need for the deposit.
