Ridge House isn't a certified dark-sky site, but the Milky Way is visible with the naked eye from late spring through early fall.

• Best viewing is 10pm–2am (PhotoPills or stellarium web)
• Plan around the moon — new moon or moon-below-horizon nights are darkest (Search timeanddate moon phase)

• Explore Joshua Tree National Park ranger-led astronomy programs
• Grab a blanket — desert nights cool down even in summer

POOL SAFETY FOR FAMILIES
To preserve the open mountain views, the pool isn't fenced. For families with young kids, we've installed extra-high child safety locks on the back doors — please keep them latched when the pool isn't in use.
