The “Westwind” vacation rental in the historic St. Johannismühle combines exceptional living with modern comforts. In this Dutch windmill from 1808, which has been lovingly and thoroughly renovated, you’ll experience Flensburg from a very special perspective: High above the city’s rooftops, a stylish duplex apartment awaits you, featuring impressive architecture, historic wooden beams, and a unique atmosphere.

With approximately 80 m² of living space, the apartment can accommodate up to four people. The open-concept design spanning multiple levels, exposed beam structures, and the spacious loft give the apartment its distinctive character. Large windows let in plenty of light and offer beautiful views over the rooftops of Flensburg. At the same time, the modern Scandinavian-style furnishings create a warm and cozy living atmosphere.

The vacation rental features two comfortable bedrooms, a modern bathroom with a shower, and a spacious living and dining area with an open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped—including a glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker—and is perfect for relaxing evenings spent cooking. A special feature is the Quooker, an innovative hot-water dispenser that provides instant access to boiling water for tea, coffee in a French press, or a strong grog. High-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and a workspace make the apartment ideal even for longer stays.

The quiet terrace with a view of Flensburg is particularly charming. Here you can wind down at the end of the day or enjoy your morning with a cup of coffee. There’s also a garden with seating and a barbecue area.

The St. Johannismühle’s location is ideal for conveniently exploring Flensburg. Shopping options are practically right outside the door, and the historic harbor and Old Town are within walking distance. From here, you can discover the maritime atmosphere of the Flensburg Fjord, the beaches of the Baltic Sea coast, or take day trips to nearby Denmark.

The combination of historic, protected architecture, modern living comfort, and a central yet quiet location makes the “Westwind” vacation rental a special retreat for couples, families, or friends who want to experience Flensburg in an extraordinary way.
