Über diese haus dieses Ferienunterkunft
Wake up to Lake of Egypt views from Summer's Cove - a charming lake house that's pet-friendly, family-friendly, and right on the water.
THE SPACE
Three bedrooms, two baths, sleeps 9. Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a queen bed; Bedroom 3 has a queen plus a bunk bed - perfect for kids or extra guests. A futon downstairs adds another sleeping spot.
The open kitchen and floor plan are made for gathering. Cook in the fully-stocked kitchen, eat together at the dining table, then drift out to the screened-in porch with rocking chairs and lake views. Newly remodeled with a fun retro vibe - and professionally cleaned between every stay.
There is an extra folding table and chairs under the stairs for if family comes by to share a meal.
WHAT'S OUTSIDE
- Right on Lake of Egypt with your own dock
- Kayaks and a paddleboard included
- Wood-burning fire pit for s'mores at sunset
- Grill (charcoal)
- Outdoor furniture, screened porch, private backyard
- Semi-circle drive, carport, and street parking that fits trailers
WHY GUESTS LOVE IT
- Lake of Egypt is a fishing, boating, swimming, and paddleboarding paradise
- About 20-30 minutes from Marion (MWA) airport
- Close to Shawnee National Forest
- Baby gates at top and bottom of the stairs for families with little ones
- Self check-in with a door code sent ahead of your stay
PET POLICY
Pet-friendly with a small fee. Non-shedding pets only, please. If excess hair is left behind, an additional $50 cleaning fee applies.
A NOTE ABOUT THE LAKE
This is a real lake property - meaning even when we have a pest company, spider webs and the occasional creepy crawly may show up even after a thorough cleaning. We do our best, but nature wins sometimes.
Whether you're coming for a weekend on the water, a family reunion, or a quiet escape from city life, Summer's Cove is your home away from home in Southern Illinois.

The communication was top notch. I noticed the weekend opened up after we had booked. She was able to add 2 days for us and answered many questions through out the booking. This was my 1st VRBO snI had alot of questions. The property was very nice and will hold alot more than the 4 of us. I would rent again. Thanks again.

The house is beautiful. It fit our family of five with no issues. I wasn't sure if we would have everything we need for the trip so we brought some of our necessities. We were wrong! Summer had this place completely stocked with everything we needed. My wife enjoyed the screened in porch. Its back in a quiet little spot off the cove and perfect spot for fishing. We brought our boat and had such a great time. Lake of Egypt is perfect. There is so much to do and we didn't get to do all the things we wanted. Everyone was so friendly. Thank you Summer for hosting us. We had the perfect family vacation. Highly recommend staying at this gorgeous lakehouse.
