As the center of Midcoast Maine, Rockland is also an excellent home base for day trips, whether you venture to the picturesque harbors of Rockport and Camden (seven miles), board a boat from Port Clyde to Monhegan Island (17 miles), dine out in Portland (78 miles), or escape into nature in Acadia National Park (80 miles).
