Terrible didn’t stay there

DO Not Book this place. It was absolutely filthy I couldn’t stay there. When I arrived I had to double check that it was the correct address. The bins were smelly and outside windows had mould. As I entered and got inside the fridge had gone off spilt milk or ice cream. Counters and surfaces not clean. Bed sheets were not ironed. Cream sofa looked brown from dirt. I called the host to ask for a refund as I booked a different place I could not stay there the week I had intended to stay. He refused to give me a refund stating it was my problem. Very rude, unwilling to refund though his standards were poor. Had to go through bank to get refunded

Not as described

The sheets were soft, it was clean, the landlord communicated quickly when there were problems. There was a fridge.

We were given the wrong code the room, so had to ring after a long journey to get it. It was advertised as a one bedroom apartment with a private bathroom. It is a room in a house with a lock on it, the bathroom was not private, the whole house could access. The information said we could checkout at midnight, cleaners arrived at 12.30pm to try and chuck me out and then the landlord rang me and hassled me to leave. I understand this was most likely a mistake but my husband was out in the car and I was asked to sit in the stairs with my things!! Oh yeah, and the bed was a sofa bed! It's a good job I love my husband because we kept on rolling into the middle, we couldn't have slept apart of we wanted to annnd we also thought there would be a kettle and a microwave but thete wasn't.

It was really clean, great communication from staff. I had a small issue and they responded straight away.

It had a hob but no sauce pan and not enough pots. Only one towel provided and it really needs a mirror and a bin.
