Dear Booking.com Support Team,
We are writing to express our extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with the unacceptable situation regarding our accommodation booking in Riga on September 5.
We booked an apartment on September 5 for check-in on the same day. However, the property owner completely failed to communicate with us throughout the entire day — morning, afternoon, and evening.
We received absolutely no instructions on how to access the property, collect the keys, or check in. As a result, we were unable to enter the apartment or use the accommodation we had paid for.
Despite this, the full amount was charged to our account.
We repeatedly attempted to contact the property owner by phone and through the available communication channels, but received no response whatsoever.
What makes this situation even more unacceptable is that Booking.com customer support has also failed to respond to our numerous messages. We have been trying to resolve this issue for a long time, yet no one has provided us with any assistance or a solution.
We are regular Booking.com customers, and we have never experienced such an appalling level of customer service before.
We feel that we have been scammed and deceived through a platform we trusted. We paid for accommodation that was never made accessible to us, and Booking.com has failed to provide the customer support necessary to resolve the situation.
This is completely unacceptable, especially from a major international booking platform.
We therefore formally demand:
1. A full refund of the entire amount charged for the accommodation, as we were never able to check in or use the service.
2. Additional compensation in the form of promotional codes, Booking.com credits, or other bonuses for the significant inconvenience, wasted time, stress, and complete lack of customer support.
3. An immediate response and resolution of this complaint, without any further delays.
