The beachside pool and hot tub are close for a no-plans afternoon, and the tiki bar and shared grill area make dinner easy when you do not want to go far. Coconut Marketplace is within walking distance for a coffee, meal, shop, or groceries. Wailua River and the East Side's waterfall country are nearby by car. It is a peaceful, practical base for a couple or small family who wants Kauai to feel relaxed from the first day.



The Space:

This air-conditioned ground-floor studio has a private lanai with partial ocean and garden views, plus a full bath and a single-level layout. The kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker for simple meals. With sleeping space for four, it is an unfussy place to rest between a beach walk, pool time, and an evening out in Kapaa.



Guest Access:

Guests at Islander on the Beach have access to the shared outdoor pool, hot tub, BBQ grill area, and beach access. The resort grounds provide easy outdoor space to relax between beach outings.



The Neighborhood:

The Coconut Coast is well suited to travelers who want beach access and local conveniences in one place. Coconut Marketplace is a short walk for coffee, restaurants, shopping, and groceries. Nearby, the Ke Ala Hele Makalae path follows the shoreline for a morning walk or bike ride. Wailua River is close for kayaking, and Opaekaa Falls is an easy drive into the green interior. Kapaa town is nearby for bakeries, food trucks, and small local shops. This central East Side location keeps both the North Shore and Lihue comfortably within day-trip range.



Getting Around:

Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.

The pool and spa will temporarily be closed from 10/26-11/04 for major repairs.
