Alternatively, head south to Beadnell Bay (3.5 miles), which is popular for water sports and beach picnics. Other local attractions include Dunstanburgh Castle, Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum, Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden, all within 16 miles.
