Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England and is well worth a trip. 10.5 miles from the vibrant town of Bowness-on-Windermere, enjoy all the area has to offer and walk, boat and explore your way around the water and the water’s edge. If you fancy staying local, hop on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway for a train journey to remember.

Arrive at this pretty, slate-built cottage and step inside to make yourselves at home. The open-plan living space creates a welcoming hub of the home where you can spend lazy mornings, chilled afternoons and cosy evenings. Perfectly positioned around the warming wood burner, the pair of comfortable sofas invite you to sink in and relax in front of the TV/DVD or with a good book in hand. The spacious, light kitchen area has all you need for your designated chef. After plating up at the table, enjoy a communal meal reminiscing on the days adventures and planning the next. Flooding the space with natural light, the French doors open out to the courtyard garden, letting the outside in. Rest weary heads upstairs in the double bedroom and the twin bedroom which are decorated with pretty patterns and calming, neutral tones. Views reach across the pretty Lakeland houses and out over the front garden and both bedrooms are lovely spots in which to switch off and snuggle down.
