The Unplugged Homestead has been bringing people together for generations.

For decades, family and friends have gathered here to share meals, celebrate milestones, visit loved ones, and enjoy the simple rhythms of country life. The house has changed over the years, but its purpose has remained the same: creating a place where people can slow down, connect, and feel at home.

Today, we're excited to share that ecperience with our guests. Whether you are returning to the area to visit family or simply looking for a quiet retreat, we hope you'll create memories here that last long after your stay.

The Space

The farmhouse comfortably accommodates families and small groups with:
- Three bedrooms plus additional sleeping space in the office
- One full bathroom and one half bathroom
- Spacious living and dining areas
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Beautiful original woodwork and farmhouse character throughout

The home blends historic charm with comfortable modern conveniences, creating a welcoming space for family vacations, reunions, wedding weekends, hunting trips, graduation celebrations, and visits home to Martin County.

Our Favorite Spot

The screened porch has always been the heart of the home.

Minnesota summers are beautiful, but anyone familiar with country living knows the mosquitoes can be relentless. The screened porch allows guests to enjoy cool evenings, sunset conversations, morning coffee, and family game nights while staying comfortable and bug-free.

Outdoor Living

Guests can enjoy:
- Fire pit with seating
- Open country views
- Peaceful rural setting
- Outdoor grilling opportunities
- Fresh eggs from our nearby farm upon request

Our family lives just down the road on a working row-crop farm, and depending on the season, guests may experience a glimpse of authentic farm life.

Perfect For

- Family Vacations
- Family Reunions
- Guests returning home to visit relatives
- Wedding weekends
- Hunting groups
- Couples seeking a quiet getaway
- Anyone looking to slow down and enjoy a simpler pace

The Unplugged Experience

Life moves a little slower here.

The Unplugged Homestead was created with a simple goal: to provide a place where people can gather around a table, enjoy conversation on the porch, share stories around the fire, play games, and create memories together.

Whether you're returning to the area to visit family or escaping the city for a few days of peace and quiet, we hope you'll feel at home here.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Unplugged Homestead.
