Kuroda is a traditional Japanese house available for whole-house rental, preserved from the home where my grandmother actually lived.

We’ve preserved as much of the house’s history as possible—including the earthen walls, wooden pillars, and traditional fixtures and furniture.

Wake up to the sound of the waves in the morning,
take a stroll along the beach at noon,
and enjoy a cup of tea on the veranda while gazing out at the garden in the evening.

This is a guesthouse where we invite you to enjoy a traditional way of life and the slow passage of time, rather than focusing on convenience.

・Kuroda is not a hotel, but a traditional old Japanese house. It may not be suitable for guests seeking the latest amenities or hotel-like comforts.

・ Wi-Fi is available, but the connection may be unstable at times. We recommend this inn for guests who want to disconnect from the internet and enjoy a leisurely stay.

・We thoroughly clean the property after every stay, but due to the natural coastal environment, insects may occasionally enter depending on the season and weather.

・The surrounding area is a quiet residential neighborhood. There aren’t many restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance, so we recommend doing your shopping in advance.

・The toilet is an old-fashioned pit latrine.

Rather than focusing on convenience, we hope you’ll enjoy a nostalgic and peaceful stay, as if you’ve returned to your grandmother’s house by the sea.
