At Talona Rising Sun, the day begins with a show.
As the first light spills across the North Georgia mountains, every bedroom and the back deck become front row seats to a breathtaking sunrise. By evening, the experience shifts to the front porch and kitchen, where fiery sunsets paint the sky in a completely different palette. Few mountain homes offer both sunrise and sunset views, making Talona Rising Sun a destination where every part of the day feels worth slowing down for.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Ellijay, Talona Rising Sun blends refined mountain design with inviting spaces made for gathering. Clean lines, warm natural textures, and elevated finishes create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated without sacrificing comfort. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or escaping for a quiet weekend, the home offers the perfect balance of luxury and relaxation.
Life naturally revolves around the outdoor living spaces. Spend cool evenings beside the covered deck's gas fireplace while your favorite movie or the big game plays on the outdoor TV. Later, gather around the fire pit beneath a blanket of stars, where conversations seem to linger long after the fire has burned low. On the lower deck, an electric fireplace creates another cozy space to unwind after a day spent exploring Ellijay.
Inside, every level offers something to enjoy. The garage game room brings out everyone's competitive side with a ping pong table and Smart Roku TV, making it the perfect place for family tournaments, rainy afternoons, or cheering on your favorite team together.
When it's time to recharge, Talona Rising Sun comfortably welcomes up to eight guests across four thoughtfully appointed bedrooms. Two spacious king bedrooms, including one conveniently located on the main level, offer peaceful retreats, while two additional full bedrooms provide inviting accommodations for family and friends. The upstairs bathroom features a large walk in shower and a deep soaking tub, creating the perfect place to unwind after a day in the mountains.
And because the best vacations include every member of the family, Talona Rising Sun welcomes up to two dogs, making it easy to bring your four legged companions along for the adventure.
Located in beautiful Ellijay, you're just a short drive from award winning wineries, apple orchards, hiking trails, river adventures, and the charm of both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Yet many guests discover their favorite part of the trip isn't what they did nearby. It's watching the sunrise with a fresh cup of coffee, gathering around the outdoor fireplace as evening settles in, and ending the day beneath a sky full of stars.
Some cabins are remembered for their amenities. Talona Rising Sun is remembered for its moments. From the first rays of morning to the last colors of sunset, Talona Rising Sun offers a mountain experience that feels effortlessly beautiful from beginning to end.
