Olas Beach Resort

The hotel has great potential for at least a 9 out of 10 rating, but there are two major reasons why at this point it is not more than a 7 for me - See further below. In general surely the most premium hotel you can get in Arugam Bay which is directly on the beach. Beautiful view from the rooms. Nice amenities which will - once finished - surely be a great benefit.

1) The hotel is not finished yet which was NOT communicated to us upfront. There were several things missing or being worked on (specifically in the outside area) which led to noise and a bit of a chaotic vibe with random things laying around. 2) The team is not trained well yet. They are friendly but very slow (breakfast took almost an hour for no obvious reason). And what really annoyed us is that we did not get our room at the official Checkin time (which we did have some understanding for as the previous guest had an injury) - but the problem for us was that the Hotel Manager did not offer any kind of compensation - only when we asked we got a drink for free. Not really a good sign of hospitality, especially for a Hotel that Class.

Excellent stay at Olas Beach Resort, Arugam Bay! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Beautiful beach location, great facilities, and excellent service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good wifi and easy access to surrounding areas. Great value for money and highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again!

Wifi katkeili jatkuvasti. Mielestämme hotellin palvelu ei vastannut hintaansa.
