This property was very well located with just a short walk into the main area. Great communication with Angela. Miss Maristella met us at the property and showed us around. Her passion for both the property and Bergamo was infectious. We could not believe the goodies provided we wanted for nothing. The beds were comfortable, the showers warm. We'd definitely stay again should we revisit Bergamo which is very likely as our 2 night stay just wasn't long enough.

There's nothing not to like

Great location, with several balconies overlooking the lovely garden.

Porta Dipinta is in a great location near the centre of Bergamo's Old Town with its historic streets and buildings. A 5 minute (uphill) walk takes you to the main street in the old town. A longer downhill walk takes you into Bergamo's new town with great transport links to surrounding cities, more shops and restaurants. Porta Dipinta offers everything you need while on holiday and the hosts are generous with the food, towels, bedding and other household supplies available to guests. The hosts even helped us organise a taxi to connect with the train journey we took to Venice.

Nothing.

Check in with Marissa was quick and easy. She gave us a quick overview of the surroundings and tips where to go for a drink and to eat. The bar next door with the amazing amount of beers was fantastic and the pizza place off the beaten track in the olde city and was awesome and great value for money. The apartment had a big kitchen with dining table and plenty space in the lounge to sit. The fridge was stocked with food for the next morning breakfast. Outdoor patio is beautiful although it was too hot for us to enjoy it. We could use the washing machine and dryer which was a bonus. This is a very old building and so the bedrooms are downstairs and are a bit dark but thats to be expected. Location was perfect for our stopover - right in the old city!
