When we booked there were no reviews but the cost was by far the cheapest for our family group so we knew it wasn’t going to be luxurious. Positives Cost The location was perfect for us as right by the Excel Center where we were going to a two day event. The place had been cleaned and the bedding and towels laundered. The space and layout were brilliant especially as it had two bathrooms. The views from the balcony were stunning. Could see the O2 and cable cars all lit up at night. There is a well stocked Tesco express about a minute away, very handy. There was parking available at £15 per day. This is payable only by cash and there is no receipt given which would be very inconvenient if you are claiming expenses. Note the cost per day is every day you are there. The car arrived at 9pm and we were charged for that day and the two after even though it was a two night booking. The plus side was we were able to leave the car all day on the Sunday after we had checked out so it worked well for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The water pressure was good and no issues with running out of hot water.

The negatives The carpet in the lounge was stained and not in good condition. There was no lid to the kitchen bin. The crockery and cutlery was mismatched - although plentiful. We didn’t cook anything so can’t comment on the equipment but hob looked worn. The patio door was broken, as was the door in the bedroom onto the Juliet balcony in the main bedroom. The patio door wouldn’t close or lock and felt unsafe, there were signs that attempts had been made to repair it. The two people we spoke to didn’t seem surprised when I told them. Everything needs updating and repairing - but when this is done I’m sure it will cost more to stay. It’s hard to review the cleaning as it had been cleaned but due to needing carpet replaced and the paint work doing it didn’t look clean. I could see someone has worked hard to do it - there was no dust and glass tables were streak free. Bathrooms scrubbed clean but again signs of wear and tear.
