Red Snapper Retreat is a two-level row townhome so you get the space and privacy of a standalone home without the cost of one — ground floor handles everything social, second floor handles everything quiet. Walk in the front door and the living room and kitchen with a Smart TV ready for streaming, connected to Wi-Fi throughout the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for real home-cooked meals — pots, pans, dishes, and all the basics to save both time & money — and it flows directly out to the shaded patio without a trip through a long hallway. A full bathroom on the ground floor means nobody upstairs has to come down in the middle of the night

Up the stairs are all three bedrooms — which means yes, stairs are required. Higher ceilings throughout give the space an airy feel that smaller condos rarely manage. The second floor also has a large deck overlooking the backyard with chairs— a quieter spot to have a morning coffee or catch the evening breeze after the day winds down.

A washer and dryer are in the unit — one of the more practically useful amenities on a multi-day beach trip.

FIVE REASONS TO BOOK:

· The beach is at the end of the street — 50 yards, a genuine two-minute walk with no parking hunt, no shuttle wait, and no hustling the kids across a busy road. For a townhome that allows 13, that proximity means it is all much easier. You can go back for sunscreen and return before anyone notices you left.

· The remodel finished in August 2026, which means you walking into fresh with everything working exactly as designed. What you see is genuinely what you get — and it's pretty much all new.

· The third bedroom is built for kids in a way most beach rentals are not — two full bunk sets with four twin beds and a pull-out trundle under each, six sleeping surfaces in one dedicated room. Add the master with its king, the queen-over-queen bunk with single pull out trundle in guest bedroom two, and the sofa sleeper and airbed downstairs: thirteen guests no problem.

· One block to Blue Marlin IGA grocery, two blocks to Grapevine Cafe for breakfast, 2.5 blocks to Kraken Sports Bar with a 30-foot big screen, three blocks to Viva Bayfront Fine Dining, and five blocks to Gravity Park for go-karts and mini golf. No car needed once you arrive. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to come

· Bedrooms all on the second floor; living, kitchen, and entertaining on the ground floor. Grandma or the toddlers head upstairs early while the rest of the group stays down — genuinely independent living within one rental rather than the "everyone goes to bed when the kids do" situation a single-floor condo forces. A garage keeps beach gear stowed without filling the living room or entry.

THE BACKYARD

The backyard is fenced — a detail that can have a real upside. Kids can move freely between the house and the yard without anyone stationed at the door, and the dogs can settle into the outdoor space without a leash.

The shaded ground-floor patio opens directly from the kitchen and living room making the BBQ easy.

THE BBQ

A gas/LP BBQ grill is set up on the shaded patio for the cookout tend to become the best memories of the trip. We provide the grill — please bring your own LP propane tank, or pick one up at a local Stripes or wal mart.

EXACT SLEEPING SPACE (Up to 13 Guests)

Master bedroom: King bed

Second guest bedroom: Queen-over-queen bunk bed with a single pull-out trundle underneath — three real sleeping surfaces in one room, a solid setup for adults or older teens who are comfortable with bunks.

Third guest bedroom: two stand alone bunk bed sets, each with twin beds top and bottom, plus a single pull-out trundle under each bottom bunk. Six sleeping surfaces in one dedicated room, built for kids. The kind of bunk setup that makes a trip for them & you as parents to enjoy.

Living room: a sofa sleeper (folds to a small full-sized bed) plus a full-sized airbed and pump provided as a backup.

For all permanent beds, fresh linens, blankets, bath towels, and kitchen towels are provided. If you plan to use the trundle beds, the sofa sleeper, or the airbed, bring your own extra bedding and pillows — those surfaces are not made up but welcome for your use. Maximum occupancy is 13 guests; infants and toddlers are included in that count FYI.

LOCATION

125A E Red Snapper is the kind of address where the vehicles stay parked the whole trip. Once you have unloaded and settled in, almost everything worth doing on South Padre Island is within walking distance — and that is not a stretch for this particular street.

One thing to note – if you get time, do the 2.5 block walk to the Baked Bear gourmet ice cream sandwich shop for the end of the beach day into early night

At 3 blocks, Kraken Sports Bar and Grill has a 30-foot big screen — the right place to catch a game without missing the island entirely.

Viva Bayfront Fine Dining at three blocks is arguably the best restaurant on South Padre Island. Tequila Sunsets, Bob's on the Bay, Driftwood, Louie's Backyard, and Dairy Queen are all at four blocks for whatever the evening calls for.

Gravity Park at five blocks has go-karts, an ejector seat ride, and night mini golf — the activity that usually ends up being a trip highlight for the kids. The entertainment district is three blocks away for everything else the island offers.

PARKING AND GARAGE

Two off-street parking spaces in the driveway are included at no charge — free, unlike hotels on South Padre Island that all charge per car. A golf cart counts as a vehicle ) and applies toward the two-vehicle limit.

There is a one-car garage on the property, but it is reserved for beach gear storage only and is not available for vehicle parking — please plan accordingly. If your group is arriving with more than two vehicles, contact us before arrival and we will help you think through your options though we do not guarantee them.

High-speed WiFi is included throughout the home; please note that Spectrum service can be spotty at times, so come prepared with a hotspot on your phone if you have must-do work as it can go down. As we are on an island, we do not provide reimbursement or compensation for WiFi or internet outages.

Reduced rates for off-season stays (September 15 – December 15), veterans and active military, and current Texas tackle football coaches (our sons play for Lake Travis in Austin — Go Cavs!). Send a message and ask.

POLICIES

Primary guest must be 23 or older and present at check-in. Guests under 23 require prior approval before booking — an additional substantial refundable damage deposit applies if approved. Please note that several nearby competing properties require guests to be 25 or older; our 23-and-up policy is intentionally more welcoming for responsible adults.

Maximum occupancy is 13 guests at all times — infants and toddlers included. You cannot exceed max occupancy; violation is grounds for immediate eviction with no refund.

Up to two dogs are welcome for a small additional cleaning fee — please contact us before booking to confirm the fee and review the pet house rules. Dogs must be disclosed and approved prior to arrival please be kind.

A signed digital rental agreement and a valid photo ID are required before door codes are released. You must read and agree to all house rules prior to booking — failing to do so is not grounds for a cancellation or refund. We are more than happy to answer any questions before you book. Strict cancellation policy applies.

No smoking anywhere on the property. No parties, no exceptions. No loud music at any time. The property is security patrolled at night. Check-in is 3 PM, check-out is 11 AM.
