A sense of Scandinavian simplicity defines this welcoming living room, where timber surfaces and a wood-panelled ceiling bring natural warmth to the interior. Generous windows frame the surrounding greenery and allow daylight to filter into a comfortable seating area designed for unhurried time together. The fireplace adds an inviting focal point, particularly after walks in the fresh coastal air or during cooler evenings. Store Fuglede lies amid the peaceful landscapes of western Zealand, with countryside, fields and the coast offering plenty of scope for walking and cycling. Spend a day by the shores of Jammerland Bay or head towards the broad sandy beach at Bjerge Strand for swimming and seaside walks. Kalundborg is also worth exploring, with its historic streets, distinctive five-towered Church of Our Lady and harbour atmosphere, while the surrounding region offers quiet villages and varied coastal scenery.
