The mattress in the large bedroom was so thin and uncomfortable that we thought it would be wise to place a small single mattress on top of it which was underneath the bed. Result: bedbugs and the bites that come with them!!! Daily hunt for the omnipresent black caterpillar in the bathroom of the small bedroom. Very minimal kitchen equipment. Air conditioning in the small bedroom no longer worked for our last 3 days, no repairs carried out despite notice to the owner. The owner told us that a cleaning lady would come on Wednesday; we were there for 2 weeks, never saw a cleaning lady.

Staff came and helped us get the lock undone. (It didn’t look like an entrance to us in the dark).

The house, pool and small yard are perfectly clean, efficiently organized and very pleasant.
The location is closer to Castillo beach which we much preferred over Samara as it is cleaner and less developed. Nice restaurants close by. Our host was helpful and attentive. It was all good!
