Our vacation rental, “Abendrot,” is located in the rolling foothills of western Upper Lusatia, not far from the gingerbread town of Pulsnitz, in the tranquil Haselbach Valley—a half-hour drive from Dresden to the west, Bautzen to the east, Saxon Switzerland to the south, and the Lusatian Lake District to the north. On our spacious property, we’ve created a special oasis of tranquility using plenty of wood, attention to detail, and a touch of luxury. And we’d love to share this place with you. Spanning approximately 90 m² (72 m² of which is interior space), you’ll find a large, cozy living/sleeping area with an open, fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, Thermomix, high-performance blender, 2 coffee makers—filter and Bosch Tassimo), a fireplace, and a sleeper sofa (sleeping area 190x160 cm) with an extra-comfortable mattress (converts from bed to couch in a flash with a single motion), a modern and very stylish bathroom, and a lovingly designed sauna. From the living room, you can step out onto the terrace, where you’ll find a shady, quiet spot surrounded by greenery during the day and be treated to the evening sun later on. You can also sunbathe on the large lawn behind the house or wind down the day by the campfire. A beautiful old park in the immediate vicinity invites you to take a stroll under ancient trees or—during the rhododendron bloom in May—to wander through a sea of flowers. In the summer, you can enjoy our spacious and beautiful outdoor pool—just about 600 meters away. Behind our property, fields and forests begin—enjoy nature to the fullest! And if the weather isn’t exactly inviting for outdoor activities, why not spend the day in Kamenz, the city of Lessing, for example at the “Museum of Western Lusatia”? To make your stay as relaxing as possible, we offer the following additional services: Basic amenities for daily needs: a set of linens and towels, toilet paper, a hair dryer, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, various spices, oil, vinegar, firewood for the fireplace (during the cooler months) and for a campfire, free Wi-Fi/internet access (we’ve deliberately chosen not to provide a TV!), a hi-fi system (via Bluetooth pairing), electric floor heating, various books for bookworms, and windows with insect screens. If it’s a bountiful year for fruit, you’re welcome to help yourself to apples, pears, and plums (subject to availability) from our orchard during harvest season. You may also use our washing machine by arrangement. For stays of 8 days or longer, the electricity you use is included (otherwise, we charge 35 cents/kWh). For your information: A solar panel system is integrated into the building. Please have a valid ID ready at check-in!
