The Space:

Villa Marrakech is a newly built, Moroccan-inspired home on more than two fully fenced acres in a quiet pocket of Yucca Valley, with neighbors far in the distance. Raw plaster walls, concrete floors, carved stone and warm wood are paired with hand-crafted furnishings from Morocco and Argentina. Outside, a saltwater pool, a hot tub, a fire pit and an outdoor shower sit among Joshua trees and olive trees linked by stone paths. With a king suite, a queen bedroom and a soaking tub in the hall bath, it suits couples or a small group. Turn in early on Peruvian cotton and let the olive trees have the moon.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The saltwater pool sits at the center of the outdoor space, with the hot tub nearby for evenings under the stars. Rattan double loungers with oversized umbrellas offer shade around the pool, and Sonos speakers carry music outside. Over 80 Joshua trees, ancient olive trees and native plants dot the fully fenced acreage, connected by stone pathways. A gas fire pit with lounge seating anchors the evenings, and an outdoor shower, a gas BBQ and outdoor dining areas round it out.



-Living Area-

A hand-carved front door opens to a living space where a Samsung Frame TV sits on a stone wall, doubling as art when not in use, and a Sonos surround system fills the room. The living area flows into the dining room, kitchen and back patio, with large windows framing the desert. Board games are on hand.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The modern, fully equipped kitchen has concrete countertops, quality appliances and an island with a breakfast bar. The dining area borders the kitchen, and coffee from Joshua Tree Coffee Co. is provided. Outdoor dining and a BBQ are just outside.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The primary bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom, and the second bedroom has a queen bed with a bathroom down the hall. Beds are dressed in premium Peruvian cotton linens. Each bathroom has a rain shower, and the hallway bathroom also has a soaking tub. There is an outdoor shower as well.



-Surrounding Area-

Downtown Joshua Tree, Flamingo Heights, home to La Copine and Giant Rock Meeting Room, Old Town Yucca Valley and the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park all make good outings from Villa Marrakech.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



Please note that a supply closet in the hallway is locked and used for housekeeping and maintenance. There is parking for multiple cars in the front driveway.

Villa Marrakech is in a quiet, private pocket of Yucca Valley where homes sit on large acreage, with uninterrupted desert views and town close by. Neighbors are far in the distance.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Other Things to Note:

-EV Charger-

There is no fee to charge your electric vehicle. The charger is a Level 2 (220V) Tesla charger; non-Tesla vehicles need an adapter.



-House-Specific Rules-

► There is parking for multiple cars in the front driveway.



-Pool Heating Fee-

Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.

During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.



-Hot Tub Heating-

No fee to heat the hot tub! Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool is serviced weekly on Thursdays, typically between 9am and 4pm. The technician will enter through the gate and go directly to the backyard without approaching the home.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras at the front door and on the garage corner facing the driveway, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, such as the pool.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
