Summer Rental: Elegant Cathedral Heights / Cleveland Park Private Home (Washington, DC)
A classic large colonial-style brick home directly across from the National Cathedral grounds offers an exceptional setting for a family-friendly DC summer stay from early June to mid-August.
Offering 5200+ square feet across four finished levels with 5 bedrooms (one is set up as the workout room) and 4.5 baths.
Ideal for comfortable family living and for elegant entertaining, the main level features hardwood floors and 9-foot ceilings, it includes formal living and dining rooms each with a wood-burning fireplace; a grand piano graces the living room. The light-filled garden room has French doors opening to the terrace. On the terrace one finds amenities that appeal to the whole family, including a basketball hoop, trampoline, ping pong table, koi pond, and fire pit with seating. The large chef's kitchen features high-end craftsmanship with soapstone countertops, Viking range, double ovens, Miele dishwasher, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer drawers, a mahogany-topped center island, and a sunny breakfast table.
Upstairs, the expansive primary suite features a fireplace and a walk-through dressing room with a mahogany-topped island and custom cabinetry, leading to a spa bathroom with soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower.
Two additional bedrooms (each with a double bed) open via French doors to a shared sunroom; a full hall bath sits just off the landing. The top level offers a bright guest bedroom with a queen bed and a third full bath.
The fully finished lower level includes a generous family room with an L-shaped sofa facing a large TV, great for movie night, keyboard and darts, a convenient wet bar with refrigerator, and an exercise room with high-end cardio and weight equipment, (this could be converted back to a bedroom if needed). You'll also find a large laundry room with Miele washer and dryer, a mudroom with built-in cubbies, and an attached one-car garage.
Set on a beautiful tree-lined street in sought-after Cathedral Heights / Cleveland Park, the home sits directly across from the National Cathedral's grounds with its' gardens, tennis courts, and playgrounds. Walk to Metro, daily errands, shopping, and dozens of neighborhood restaurants.
A rare, turnkey summer rental combining classic DC architecture, family amenities, modern luxury and exceptional outdoor space.
