Very nice authentic place with gorgeous mountains view

Our stay at L’ua Homestay was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam, and so much of that is thanks to Lan, who is not only an exceptional host but also an incredible guide and a wonderful person. Lan is warm, cheerful, hardworking, family-oriented and speaks excellent English. She made us feel welcome from the very beginning, not simply as guests, but almost as part of her family. She even introduced us to her relatives, which made the whole experience feel especially authentic and personal. As a local guide, she is absolutely fantastic. She knows the villages, rice terraces, surrounding mountains and countless walking trails like the back of her hand. She took us trekking through beautiful landscapes, peaceful paths and less touristy areas that we would never have discovered on our own. Thanks to her, we experienced a much more authentic side of life around Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai. One particularly charming part of the trekking experience was how local women would sometimes join us along the way, accompanying us and helping us navigate slippery or difficult paths. It was lovely to interact with them, and although there was no obligation, buying a little handmade bracelet or leaving a small tip felt like a nice way to thank them for their kindness and support. Another unforgettable experience was cooking traditional Vietnamese spring rolls together with Lan. And I have to say, they were genuinely the best spring rolls we had during our entire trip to Vietnam — and believe me, we tried them in countless places! Lan is such a talented cook that we joked she should open her own restaurant if she ever finds the time. The food was absolutely delicious, and vegetarian options are available too. The homestay itself is equally special. The facilities are lovely, everything was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and we genuinely felt at home.

Absolutely nothing! Everything about our stay was wonderful. The homestay is located slightly away from the village centre, but for us that was actually one of its greatest advantages. The peaceful surroundings, authentic atmosphere and breathtaking valley views make it a truly special place. We wouldn’t change a thing!
