If smaller, mellow waves are what you fancy, head south a few minutes to Dominicalito beach, a stunning cove with gentle peelers rolling through. Both beaches are great for in-shore fishing as well. Locals can often be found casting lines at the Dominical rivermouth or under the Baru Bridge, where catching snook is a right of passage.
