Located in the small village of Brantham on the river Stour, Leno Villa is within walking distance of the bustling town of Manningtree, the historic waterways of Flatford Mill & a short car ride from many other highlights of the Essex/Suffolk countryside.

Leno Villa has stood here since 1886, looking out over the same fields and river valley that John Constable painted two centuries ago. From the front bedroom, that view is still yours - Dedham Vale stretching out exactly as it has for generations.

Inside, the house balances period character with genuine comfort. The main bedroom is a king, with a further double and single room, plus a trundle bed and double sofa bed available, comfortably sleeping 8 across the house - ideal for a family gathering or two families travelling together.

The third bedroom is accessed through the second, which works well for families travelling together or groups who don't mind sharing that connection, and gives the layout a slightly different rhythm to a standard house. (See the floor plan in the photos for the full layout.)

Outside, the garden has been newly landscaped and is one of the best reasons to stay. A proper seating area with a parasol, a dartboard and chalkboard for evening games, and a BBQ for long summer dinners outdoors - all enclosed and secure, and very well suited to dogs.

This is Constable Country at its best: Flatford Mill, Dedham village, and the wider Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are all within easy reach, alongside the Suffolk coast for a day trip. Manningtree station is a 20-30minute walk away, with several taxis also available in the local area.

Please note:

- The back gate leads to our private garden, so is not to be used by guests

- The bathroom is downstairs

- It’s and old house so the stairs are fairly steep

- The third bedroom is accessed via the second bedroom
