Tucked among tall trees on a private, wooded lot, Camp Kahuna is a freshly renovated Adirondack retreat with brand-new furniture, mattresses, and finishes throughout. At approximately 2,000 sq. ft. (about 1,488 sq. ft. on the main level and roughly 500 sq. ft. on the lower level), it feels peacefully removed from the bustle of town, yet Main Street, Mirror Lake, restaurants, shops, and year-round events are only 1.5 miles away. Warm natural light, a serene wooded setting, and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces make it easy to settle in. After a day of ADK adventures gather around the stone wood-burning fireplace, cook together in the fully equipped kitchen, or spend the evening by the fire pit on the deck.

Camp Kahuna sleeps up to 8 guests, making it a fit for families, friends, and small groups who want room to spread out without giving up that cozy, tucked-away feeling.

DOGS: We love welcoming furry guests! Please let us know in advance if you'll be bringing pets. A maximum of two pets are allowed- if you have more please contact us to see if we can accommodate.

BEDROOMS & SLEEPING AREAS: The home has 3 bedrooms on the main level plus a bonus bunk room on the lower level. Every bed and mattress is brand new. 2 King Size, 1 Queen Size on main level, plus twin bunk beds in the bunk room on the lower level. Ceiling fans are in the main floor bedrooms, while additional oscillating fans are provided to place in bunk room or another room as desired. Charging ports on lampshades in main floor bedrooms. Maximum sleeping occupancy is 8 guests.

BUNK ROOM/GAME ROOM: On the lower level where the twin bunk beds are, there is a dedicated workspace, 55" Roku Smart TV to enjoy your favorite shows, sofa, board games, puzzles, coloring books, and game table. The interchangeable game table top lets you play slide hockey, foosball, billiards, shuffleboard, table tennis, chess, cards, checkers, bowling, and backgammon.

BATHROOMS: Two full bathrooms, one on main floor and one downstairs, each stocked with a hair dryer and bathroom essentials. Radiant heated floors are in the main floor bathroom keep things warm on cold mornings. Extra towels are provided.

LIVING ROOM: Is centered on a beautiful stone wood-burning fireplace, with firewood provided for guest use. 55" Roku Smart TV to enjoy your favorite shows. Tucked into the corner, you'll find a cozy little reading nook that's just waiting for you. Grab a book, curl up with a cup of coffee, and let the rest of the world fade away for a while.

KITCHEN: The fully equipped for all your cooking and baking needs. Also has a dishwasher, a coffee bar with a selection of coffee makers (K-cup, traditional, and moka pot) and a kettle, and a starter supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and creamers. Additionally there are radiant heated tile floor in the hallway and kitchen to keep you cozy in the winter time.

DINING ROOM: The adjoining dining area is made for gathering. Pull up a chair and settle in for family dinners, game-night snacks, or long, lazy brunches with friends. Good food always tastes better when everyone's around the table.

LAUNDRY: Washer/dryer are available for guest use, and laundry supplies are stocked in the laundry room.

EXTERIOR SPACE: Step out onto the spacious private deck, with a Solo Stove fire pit and a propane grill for cooking and unwinding outdoors. Firewood for the fire pit is provided at the top of the driveway. Evenings by the fire under the trees feel quintessentially Lake Placid.

GARAGE & GEAR STORAGE: The oversized attached garage is available to guests for parking and/or for storing skis, bikes, kayaks, and gear. It also holds a sled, fans, shovels, a bike tire pump, extra Adirondack chairs, and outdoor games. Added bonus is there is a heater, so can turn on while working on equipment. Access code provided at check-in.

SECURITY SYSTEM: SimpliSafe system secures the home. For your safety and the security of the property, there are two exterior security cameras. An outdoor security camera is located at the front exterior of the home at top of the stone stairs near the deck. The camera monitors the driveway/front entry area only. In addition, there is an outdoor security camera on the garage keypad that only monitors the driveway and garage entrance. There are no cameras inside the home or in any private areas. Indoor motion sensors only sense movement & are off during your stay.
