QUICK ANSWERS

- Hot tub: there's no hot tub at the house. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center are both a short drive.
- Elevation: about 8,000 feet.
- Highway 50: the house is a minute or two off Highway 50, tucked in the trees so it stays quiet and private.
- Parking and trailers: the driveway fits multiple trucks with trailers, and you can also park out front.
- Check-in: self check-in with a door code any time after 4:00 pm. Late arrivals are no problem. Early check-in is often possible, just ask.
- Gear: guests get 15% off ski and snowboard rentals at Salida Mountain Sports, our shop in downtown Salida.
- Dogs: up to 2 dogs welcome ($75 pet fee per stay). Fenced dog area, plus a dog bed and food and water bowls.

- Two alpine lakes 6 miles down a dirt road from the trailhead
- Close to the Monarch Crest Trail, one of Colorado's best known mountain bike rides, with huge views along the Continental Divide
- Miles of Forest Service roads nearby for OHV enthusiasts
- 10 miles to Monarch Ski Area and 12 miles to downtown Salida
- Raft Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River, with outfitters in Salida and Buena Vista running half and full day trips all summer

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the entire home and property. The only space locked off is the garage.

WHAT'S PROVIDED

The home comes fully stocked with a fully equipped kitchen, towels, and linens. We also supply:

- Kitchen: coffee, sugar, coffee filters, snacks, salt and pepper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and trash bags
- Bathrooms: toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
- Laundry: laundry detergent and dryer sheets
- Fireplace: firewood, fire starters, and long lighters

Just bring your toothbrush and any other personal toiletries.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

- Winters here mean real mountain conditions. A 4WD vehicle or snow tires/chains is strongly recommended for the drive in and out.
- The house sits above 8,000 feet. Drink plenty of water, take it easy your first day, and go light on alcohol until you adjust. The sun is strong up here, so bring sunscreen even when it's cool out.
- The home does not have air conditioning. Cool mountain nights keep things comfortable, but plan accordingly if you run warm.
- There's a Traeger pellet grill for guests to use. Please bring your own pellets.
- Cell service is spotty out here. Wi-Fi calling is your best bet for staying connected.
- Deer and bears live in the area. Please keep all food and trash inside.

HOUSE POLICIES

- No smoking of any kind, inside or out, including vaping and cannabis.
- Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Hunters welcome. Firearms must stay unloaded and stored in cases or locked in your vehicle, and may not be discharged on the property.
- This home is for personal vacation use only. Large gatherings, parties, or events are not permitted.

Guests are expected to follow all rental terms, house rules, and applicable local laws and property regulations. Evidence of smoking, unsafe firearm handling, driving OHVs anywhere other than the driveway for access, unauthorized use of the grounds, or damage or excessive mess resulting from a violation of these terms may result in additional charges.
