Escape to a private cloud forest cabin at the foot of Izalco Volcano. Set on about 15 acres of private forest at Cerro Verde, this cabin has direct trail access to the base of Izalco Volcano. Wake up to birdsong, cook on the grill, and relax in your private gazebo with views of the volcano and the ocean.
THE CABIN: Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a full bed and a twin bed. The living room has a sofa bed. One full bathroom with shower and hot water, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, gazebo with volcano and ocean views, and solar-powered electricity.
THE EXPERIENCE: Your stay includes a guided hike to the base of Izalco Volcano. Plant a tree on our property and leave your mark on the forest. Along the trails you can also search for and collect acorns (bellotas), the seeds that give Belloto its name, and take them home as a natural keepsake of your experience.
GOOD TO KNOW: 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle required for access (4x4 not strictly necessary). Low sedans can park at a paid lot nearby (no transport provided from there). No WiFi, but good cell signal, a true chance to disconnect. Solar power: please use electricity mindfully.
