THE SPACE
Honey-toned pine sets the tone throughout: vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, refinished plank floors and knotty pine wainscoting with sage, cream and buffalo-check accents. The open great room centers on the stone fireplace, with a power-reclining sofa, leather recliners and a TV. The kitchen opens to a farmhouse dining table with Windsor chairs under a vintage chandelier.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS - SLEEPS 6
Main bedroom: queen bed, ceiling fan, TV, closet.
Upstairs bedroom: queen bed under a sloped pine ceiling, ceiling fan, rocking chair.
Loft: two twin beds in an open loft overlooking the great room.
Two full bathrooms - one tub/shower, one walk-in shower. I provide all linens, towels and starter toiletries.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The back deck was rebuilt in 2022 and has two levels, with Adirondack chairs and a propane gas grill up top and the hot tub below, wrapped in rhododendron and tall poplars. Out front, the covered porch is the best seat in the house for morning coffee. Down on the lawn, the fire pit sits at the edge of the woods and a red bench faces the stream. Keep an eye out for deer on the lawn in the early morning and at dusk.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
