Lovely little hidden gem larger than I expected very warm and welcoming

Everything from the bar area to the bedroom very clean

Not my first time here but this time I was given a super large room at the front with a big comfy bed and large shower. A real bonus was the fact they've started doing breakfasts, and the full English was well up to scratch. Nice friendly staff and a good pint made the weekend complete. Oh, and car parking is literally just outside.

Rooms were good and staff friendly. Popular bar in the evening.

Menu was very basic and limited. At breakfast there was no cereal, toast or fruit. The only options were cooked breakfasts. You are not even allowed into the bar/breakfast area before 8am. The door was locked from the staircase. If you wanted outside you had to go out via a fire door. . As long distance hikers we were keen to get going early. I had booked a twin room and the king with sofa bed for our group of 4 women. We actually got a double as the hotel had given away the twin after my booking ( through Booking.com)
