Elena’s place was amazing! It has the best balcony at this small boutique resort. It is clean, bright, and have everything you need! The owner/property manager was very easy to communicate with as well. I would recommend her place to all of my people.! Playa has the best beach hands down.

One could not ask for a better location. Im sure we had the best view in the whole complex by a long shot. The property was clean and had all the things we needed in the kitchen. The beds and couch were comfortable, and the showers had great water pressure, including instant hot water (which you dont always get in Mexico.) All 3 AC units worked well, but we would have appreciated ceiling fans in the bedrooms to keep the air moving at night, as we dont like to run the AC all night. For some reason the upstairs windows are screwed shut?? We would have loved to have been able to open the windows, hear the ocean waves and have the air flow through - as the upstairs got quite hot and stuffy unless running the AC constantly. This condo could use a few upgrades for sure, but the reduced rates reflect this. So, if you are looking to save a few pesos and have a million dollar view, then this property is for you!!! My only other feedback for simple improvements would be to replace that kitchen table. With those pokey feet it does make for increased toe stubbings. Also, supplying some outdoor cushions for the chairs on the balcony would provide more comfortable seating as we spent a lot of time on the balcony, morning, noon and night. Just a few simple fixes that would would go a long way. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. Its just a short 15 min walk to 5th, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff were lovely and we were treated with kindness and respect. Very reasonable prices at the pool bar and restaurant, with a different cuisine to choose from every night. As a guest, we were able to enjoy all the amenties offered in the resort at no extra cost. Taxis were always arranged with set prices, so we didnt need to worry about that. Access to the Hard Rock Golf Resort was quick and easy. We would definatley stay here again.

We are already talking about coming back. This room is the best location at fishermen sunset. Best room for coffee on the balcony , best view. We have 3 kids ages 5,7 and 9. Girls slept in bed and we brought a sleeping bag for our son who slept on couch. 100 percent recommend.

You can have your morning coffee from your balcony .Also a plus is the location, you can actually walk Day or night from them to the restaurants and shops in Playa Del Carmen, it’s a very safe place/area. Our daughters are 10 year old and a teen daughter , they both enjoyed as much as we did. You have access to the pool and Jacuzzi. The reservation process , checking and stay was just easy and pleasant. A great experience.

We have stayed in several condos at Fishermen's Village, and this by far is the best unit we have stayed in. It was clean, has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need, and the plumbing is excellent! We will be back!

This was our 5th stay at Sunset Fisherman's Village in Playa del Carmen. The 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo was perfect for 4 adults. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the large balcony was overlooking the sand and surf. It was fun to watch and count the cruise ships coming into port across the water. We of course would walk or take a taxi into town each night to go to our favorite restaurants and even try new ones. The Mexican weather in February is delightful; warm but not too hot in the day and cool nights. The four of us decided that we would definitely stay in this condo again!

The location of the property is perfect! Right on the beach and the walk to town is not that long. (maybe a mile) Loved the patio! Right above the pool with a great view! Really enjoyed our coffee there every morning with a great view of Cozumel at night. The place was in need of some updating but we were hardly in our room so who cares. I would give it 5 stars but there was a big leak from the air conditioner when we arrived. It was hard to get in touch with the property manager with out being in the room connected to Wi-Fi, but once we did there were there promptly to fix it. It would have been nice to have a few extra towels, but that's hardly a complaint. Overall a really great stay!

I rented this property for 3 people. We had a great time and everything was as I expected to be. Little problem with faucet in kitchen has been fixed the same day, new faucet has been installed right away. Elena responded on my message the same day and resolve problem. This is an excellent and I would like to recommend this property to everyone. Love it!

We really had an excellent time with our two young kids at this condo and the resort in general. The view and the pool/beach access is exactly as advertised. The pools have a lot of variety, allowing both our toddler and our infant a lot of options for playing. Towel service for the beach and pool was absolutely key. Everyone was very friendly, learned our names and introduced themselves. Breakfast buffet in La Terrazza, the nicer restaurant ($10 US per person, kids free) was a great start to every morning, with a bunch of fruit, local specialties, omelets to order, pastries, juice, and my son really loved that he could have hot chocolate for breakfast every morning. Lunch was pork tacos at the beach restaurant every day until our last day, when they randomly changed the menu. NOOOO! Still, everything was great. We weren't into fancy French food for dinner and we didn't really want to cook, but we found Playita Express deliver for the nights we didn't walk into town. They deliver from a ton of restaurants, communicate over WhatsApp. English is good, and the delivery fee of 80 pesos was reasonable. We loved Po Thai and Don Sirloin. Wifi was fast and reliable the whole time. Walk into town was easy and safe, taking you past Mayan ruins and . It was a little jarring to go from the peace of Fisherman's/Playacar, with agoutis (like big, tailless squirrels) running around, into the scrum of PdC with the hawkers and bustle, but we got used to it. The beach was pleasant. They removed whatever seaweed blew in overnight. The views were perfect, but we spent most of our time in the pool. Overall, a great stay. Would come back!

Sunset fishermans is a wonderful property. We have been there before and it is ideal for us. Just got back yesterday. As far as the condo itself goes. It is spacious. There were only two of us,so plenty of room.. The a.c. worked great and the water pressure in showers was wonderful. Overall the condo needs an overhaul. The furniture is old, especially the bedroom furniture. The king size mattress needs to be replaced. There is no black out curtain in the master upstairs, which faces east, so sun comes in way too early. This is an easy fix. We had to fight for washcloths and hand towels our first few days there.There was only one hand and face towel for my husband and I.; Property manager was not helpful and we did not get extras till we had a cleaning 3 days later. I notified the owner and she did not respond either.. Should have been handled differently. I would love to see these changes because we had a great vacation and would like to stay again.. Also entering lock is a pain. Need just a coded entry door without a key.. Also when the maid did come ( we paid for 2 cleanings). U need to book ahead for this, she did a great job and left plenty of towels,after lots of messaging to manager.

This was the best, most relaxing vacation we have ever had. The condo was perfect and the view from the balcony was priceless! The pools, hot tub, and beach were amazing and so close and convenient. It was literally the perfect spot in Playa to recharge, unplug, and relax!

Spent 6 Nights at Elena’s Condo with my wife, my daughter and son in law. First, the physical location of this condo is excellent beyond words. You are literally beachfront, overlooking the pool and the ocean. The complex has two restaurants and the food is very good and very fairly priced. Having a condo with a small kitchen, and a living room is far superior to a hotel. The ocean front lanai is amazing. Last, and perhaps most importantly, the owner of this condo is extremely responsive. We had an email glitch on our check in. We simply called her and the problem was resolved within minutes. Being out of country, and having an owner who is there for you should you need it, is very comforting and a complement to her. You will not go wrong staying here. As an aside, I suggest that each night you simply walk down the beach and have dinner At one of the amazing fifth Avenue restaurants and take a taxi back. If I could rate this condo more than five stars I easily would. Randy

We loved the location and the size of the condo. The staff were very good. We had fun doing the cooking classes, water aerobics and riding the bikes. The food at the restaurant was very good as was the welcome dinner. We also loved going into Playa for dinner and breakfasts on some days. The surrounding community was so pretty and very safe. There were minor issues with the condo that I will share privately with the owner. Likely these will be easily rectified. We also appreciated the late check out. Thank you Elena.

The apartment was spacious and clean, with two good size en-suite bathrooms and an ample living room. The apartment had a balcony with views directly over the pool and the beach. The only criticisms were the lack of a patio table on the balcony (there were two low small folding table but these weren't really suitable for family meals) and there was no dressing table in the main bedroom. Also the main bedroom is on the upper floor, with stairs rising directly from the entrance hall into the bedroom, which may not suit everyone. We visited in August 2018 and there were no problems with the air conditioning and the pool was in very good condition, we only noticed a few missing tiles, which didn't affect the enjoyment of the pool. (these were both mentioned in older reviews). The hotel is a fairly small boutique style hotel, not too big that it feels impersonal, and it is positioned right overlooking the lovely sandy beach with a pool and jacuzzi right by the beach. The staff were all really friendly and made us all feel very welcome. The hotel facilities were available to us, we never had difficulty in finding free sunbeds and parasols, which were all in really good condition, and there were many free activities that Nene and Victor (the memory makers team) ran and encouraged us to participate in. All the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The town of Playa Del Carmen, with it's lively 5th Avenue, was about 10-15 minutes walk away, so the hotel is away from the noise and hustle of the evening party goers but close enough to get to if you want to walk in to shop, dine out or experience the nightlife. We couldn't have hoped for better hotel in a better location.

We recently returned from our second vacation at Fisherman's Village and again we had a wonderful time. We rented our lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath unit from the condo owner. The condo had a beautiful view of the beach and the pool. There was a fully equipped kitchen, so eating breakfast and snacks was very convenient. The entire resort staff is superb! Angy and Victor, Activities Directors, kept us involved with the resort activities, including salsa lessons, pool volleyball, Spanish lessons, water aerobics, etc. Marcial, at the front door, is most accommodating and gracious. We also relaxed around the pool and walked on the beach. While sea grass was a problem at other resorts when we were there, the staff at Fisherman's was cleaning it up every day before we even awoke. It was the cleanest beach in Playa. Overall, another great week in Mexico.

Things we loved about staying here: - Unit was clean, beds were comfortable and a large 5 gallon jug of fresh water was provided upon our arrival. - Lifeguard and Activities Directors were GREAT. Always making sure the guests would get involved in beach volleyball games, salsa dancing, water fitness classes, guacamole making. These two gentlemen were the apple of the resort's eye. - Loved the location! Neighborhood is just gorgeous. We walked almost every night along the cobblestone Bahia del Espiritu Santo to the mercado for live acoustic music and every morning to Starbucks by way of the beach. Playacar is filled with gorgeous stately homes, all with their own unique stylings/character. The neighborhood is filled with iguana, agouti, coati, stray cats. My kids love looking for the indigenous wildlife and it was right out the front door. Reasonable taxi trip away is local cafe El Fagon; the carne asada is to die for, Walmart for necessities, EXPLOR for a fantastic adventure that deserves it's own page of glowing reviews, Coba Ruins and neighboring cenotes for memorable quieter adventures. - The view from master bedroom picture window and the balcony on main floor. Gorgeous views of a very special beach, the pictures don't do it justice. Exquisite. What we didn't like: - Hundreds of 1x1 tiles are missing from the pool. Impossible to see from pictures advertising the rental and or resort and also impossible to miss when you're standing in the pool. Our son laced his foot open on a sharp edge. - Air conditioning units leaked constantly. They left puddles on the countertop in the kitchen and puddles upstairs in bedroom on the floor near the bathroom. Total hazard for those waking up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. - Water pressure was decent, but rainfall shower head in master bath needs replacing. No rainfall, the insert that separates the water into drops is coming out of the fixture so the water just spills over the sides. Bleh. It's an easy fix, there's a home depot nearby and I was disappointed everytime we used the shower, which is daily. - Pushy staff at front desk that wanted our personal information, even though we were renting through vrbo... and every other staff member that also wanted it, every time we ordered a meal or a drink from the bar. - Sleeper sofa in living room is somewhat hard and uncomfortable. - Some ant appearances in kitchen, even though we were on an upper floor.

We had an amazing stay at this condo. It was right up front with an amazing view from the balcony and also the master bedroom window. The beach is clean and right outside your door! It's a small condo community quiet and relaxing. The staff is all happy and helpful. We walked most days to town for breakfast and dinner it's a great walk along the beach or road. The condo is in a great spot to just stay and relax or walk to town or to the ferry for a day in Cozumel or rent a car and visit many ruins and beaches along the coast! We had a wonderful trip in this area! Hope we can stay again soon!

This condo had a great view. The Fisherman's Village resort do a great job of attending to your needs. The only minus was the water pressure was not great in our condo. The air conditioner upstairs starting leaking on the last day we were there. Otherwise....it was great. We would stay there again.

The good: The view from the unit is one of the best at the resort. And the resort grounds are very nice, were not crowded, and there were many things to do that were included as a guest. Playa Del Carmen is very affordable, made even better by the favorable exchange rate. The bad: Maintenance issues cropped up from our first night there. Water was leaking from the upstairs AC, which had created quite a puddle. The finish was somewhat worn off the tile floor, which told me this has been an ongoing concern. They weren't able to fix this until the following day, so we spent the 1st night in the downstairs bedroom. The water pressure was very low in both showers from the first night. Despite the maintenance workers attempts to fix these, the AC still leaked but did work well enough for us to use the upstairs bedroom. The upstairs shower never did work properly and wasn't usable. The lower shower did work well enough to use, but the hot water wasn't functioning by the fourth day. The low water pressure created constant issues for flushing of the toilets as well. Sometimes they would flush, and sometimes not. We tried to keep the owner and on site staff informed of all issues, but at some point, you don't want workers in your unit every day you're on vacation. Bottom line, the unit is old and needs remodeling. I had read this re other units at Fisherman's, but was hoping that wouldn't be the case here. PDC is a busy town. We will choose elsewhere to stay next time we're in the area.

Rented this 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights and had a great time. The condo is in a great location with a great view! Watched the sunrise from the balcony and even from the master bedroom - sitting in bed!! Location is wonderful as it is on a great part of the beach. We were able to use the sailboats and the kayaks - also borrowed bikes! The walk to 5th Ave, shopping and great eats was lovely and not long at all. The gates to this gated community is literally right outside the shopping malls, etc. Did experience some issues with the hot water while we were there as I have seen in other posts, but for us it wasn't a big deal. We had a wonderful time. We will be back!!

La mejor estadía que tuve en Playa del Carmen. El departamento es grande, muy lindo y cómodo. Tiene todas las comodidades que una familia necesita para disfrutar de las mejores vacaciones. Todo esta impecable y nuevo. Cuenta con internet de alta velocidad y 3 LCD con cable en los 2 dormitorios y en el living. Al departamento no le hace falta nada!!! La vista es inigualable, despertar mirando al mar no tiene precio. El complejo es lo de mejor, ofrece buen servicio de playa, alberca y unos camastros super comodos. El contar con el departamento sobre la playa, simplifica todo en las vacaciones y todos lo disfrutamos mucho. Seguramente volveríamos a quedarnos las próximas vacaciones. Elena super atenta en todo momento! Estoy super agradecida por eso. EXCELENTE!!!!
