Sandman Hotel Victoria

It was clean, the shower head was lovely and the bed comfortable

We wanted a drink and front desk told us there was a lounge in the hotel - Bar One. The TV’s were on but no one there so I went to the desk at Denny’s and they said yes, that’s the lounge, it’s open. We sat at the bar and no staff appeared - after ten minutes I went back to the Denny’s desk and she said “oh, I would have to call someone”, so not sure why they didn’t do that the first time but also it was all very odd. We ended up leaving the premises and driving elsewhere, so that was a dissapointing experience.

The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was an eighteen-minute drive from downtown. Denny’s restaurant is located in the same building, which was very convenient, so we enjoyed having breakfast there.

Convenient location to the event we were attending

Fire alarm went off at 330 AM, then shut off, some people evacuated, others stayed in their rooms, lots of confusion until the Fire dept & Police arrived and had to go door to door to clear the building. There was smoke, so i guess i should be thankful that i was woken up by an alarm.
