Breakfast was good quiet location.

The breakfast was good with both hot and cold items. The beds were comfortable and it was fairly quiet.

Apparently there had big a large number of people who had checked out that day, so when we arrived at 3:30 pm, they said that the room wasn’t ready. I asked if it would be ready by the 4 pm check in time and they said no. We had driven in from Edmonton and after 6 hours in the car, would have liked to freshen up before going to visit family; however since the room wasn’t ready, we had to go as is. The hotel is old, I believe it was the Travel Lodge and it appears that they are doing some renovations, but there was a chip on the tub, the hallways are in the process of being repainted, etc. It would have been nice to know that it was being renovated.

The location was great just off the number 1 highway.

The pool could use some maintenance.. and better cleaning. Our shower control was fixed to only get cool water. We had to go to the desk and ask for a heater, They only turn on the boiler when the daytime temps reach 9 deg, we had 30 one day 15 the next, but night was down to 2. Room temp about 15, I had a cold so I was freezing. Shivering shaking. No extra blankets in the room.
